A marriage in Monteagle

This past weekend Lewis and I, along with two other couples loaded up and headed to Monteagle, TN to celebrate the marriage of my co-worker and friend, Mary Allyn.  Mary Allyn has grown up going to Monteagle and as a native Tennessee girl myself,  I've always heard of people headed to "The Assembly" for summers, holidays and long weekends! I was so excited to experience it myself...

It was the perfect fall weekend.... the weather was perfect and crisp, the trees were gorgeous and the company was so fun!

Aside from the celebrations on Friday and Saturday most of the weekend was spent outside! The fellas played in a men's tennis tournament on Saturday on the beautiful campus of the University of the South at Sewanee.

Friday night we were invited to the rehearsal dinner and enjoyed a festive and sweet evening of celebration of Mary Allyn and Stephen...

Saturday morning's wedding day brunch was so picturesque! Held on the lawn of one of the homes in the area, aptly named Mint Julep, we celebrated the very relaxed bride and groom with mimosas, bloody mary's, fried chicken, pimento cheese grits and biscuits! It had Mary Allyn's name written all over it!

The girls hiked off our lunch at the Fiery Gizzard Trail while the boys stayed home to watch some football. They really missed out on some gorgeous trails.

The beautiful bride and groom ( confession: I swiped this photo off facebook).

The wedding ceremony was sweet and so fitting of their personalities. Not to mention the views outside the glass windowed chapel were stunning!

It was such a fun weekend spent with good friends celebrating friends!

It sounds lovely to get married on that. I would love a Wedding bands London to sing the melodic ensemble.
